The extensive process involves procuring and seasoning the wood, then sculpting it to achieve the desired shape and finally coating it with natural colors. The toys are polished to give them a unique shine. The origin of these toys can be traced to the reign of Tipu Sultan who invited artisans from Persia to train the local artisans in the making of wooden toys
